About Tara J. Kays

Tara Jean Kays, RN, MSN, FNP-C, CBEC is a Breast Specialist in the Breast Health Clinic at the Margie Petersen Breast Center. Her mother inspired her to pursue a nursing career after sharing the rewarding aspects of the profession. Prior to nursing, she worked in an infertility clinic where her passion for women’s health expanded. Now specializing in Breast Care, she incorporates her past knowledge and interests in helping women succeed and grow through difficult medical situations.

Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she was a registered nurse at Providence Saint John’s Health Center – Caritas Unit. She has experience in Medical/Surgical, Acute Care, Gynecology, Infertility, Surgery, and Primary Care.

When not working, Tara enjoys traveling and exploring new countries such as Japan, Thailand, Mexico, and South Africa. She enjoys baking, live music, and taking photos of the places to which she travels. Coming from a family of ten siblings, Tara is a natural care taker and loves interacting with new people.
