About Arthur J. Nelson
A passion for the sciences, coupled with a desire to help others, made health care the obvious career choice for Arthur. He sees the provider-patient relationship as a collaborative partnership and enjoys building connections with his patients. “I’m here to guide and partner with patients so they can make the best, most informed decisions for themselves,” he says.
In his practice, Arthur emphasizes education first and foremost. “When patients understand why we recommend a certain treatment plan, they have better buy-in, which leads to better outcomes,” he says. “Providing care that helps people live healthier, more fulfilling lives brings me a feeling of accomplishment and pride.”
A lifelong Oregonian, Arthur was born in Oregon City and raised in Gladstone. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Portland State University before graduating from the Pacific University School of Physician Assistant Studies.
In his free time, he loves being with his wife and daughter, getting together with family and friends, and exploring his great home state.
