Darlene is interested in optimized outcomes. This is encouraging, and frankly how things should be done. She is patient but also demanding of her patients, and promises to do her part, but also expects patients meet their obligations to themselves. This has been challenging for an older over weight patient who was unable to obtain access to weight loss services for over a year. However, that said I have very high confidence that her standards and patience will produce a good result for me. She is no-nonsense and fact based, and I greatly appreciate that even as I struggle to effect necessary changes. In the end I am confident that I will look back on this process and approve.

Dr. Barr was very helpful in explaining everything that was going on before and after the surgery. She made time to see me even though I was late for my appointment due to really bad traffic. I also appreciated that she came by to check on me twice in the hospital after my surgery and ERCP ( I think those are the correct initials). She was also really patient with all my questions.

Dr. Barr was great at helping me to understand my situation and what care options were available. She also was honest about her ability, and she suggested a different Swedish provider who excelled at this surgery and did the procedure many, many times.
