About Allison C. Nauta

PLEASE NOTE: We are temporarily unable to accept new patient consults for autologous breast reconstruction and DIEP flap procedures due to challenges with operating room staffing. As soon as these issues have been resolved, we will reopen consults with Dr. Allison Nauta for these procedures. Dr. Nauta is still accepting new patient consults for implant-based reconstruction.

Dr. Allison C. Nauta is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with specific interest in breast and body aesthetics. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia with a double major in politics and biology. Born in Boston and raised in Washington, D.C., Dr. Nauta received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. Midway through her residency training, Dr. Nauta spent three years as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University in Dr. Michael Longaker’s lab where she published several manuscripts on the role of adult tissue-derived stromal cells in wound healing. She then completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University, followed by a one-year microsurgical fellowship at KU Medical Center in Kansas City. Microsurgical fellowship provided Dr. Nauta with the opportunity to perform complex autologous reconstruction of the breast, head and neck, lower extremity, and hand.

With extensive exposure to aesthetics, the biology of wound healing, and reconstructive plastic surgery, Dr. Nauta takes pride in providing the entire spectrum of breast reconstructive surgery—including autologous approaches—as well as aesthetic surgery of the breast and body.
