About Alexander L. Telis

Alex Telis, M.D., specializes in Orthopedic Trauma which includes all forms of fractures and emergency arm, foot, leg repair or pelvis and hip socket surgeries. Dr. Telis has a special interests in nonunions (a broken bone that fails to heal), malunions (a fractured bone that heals in an abnormal position), limb limb length differences, lower extremity deformity and limb salvage (reconstructing the limb rather than amputation). He addresses limb deformity and discrepancy with innovative techniques including magnetic lengthening nails and ringed external fixators. Dr. Telis cares for pediatric and adult patients. He treats all forms of fractures and injuries that may or may not require surgery. Dr. Telis strives to return people back to a normal level of function as soon as possible. He is a member of the Orthopedic Trauma Association and AO Trauma North America. In his spare time, Dr. Telis enjoys being a husband, a father to his son and daughter and spending time outdoors. He is an avid skier, mountain biker, mountaineer, white water rafter and fly fisherman.
