About Samra Vazirian

Samra Vazirian, M.D. was exposed to healthcare concerns early in her childhood through her parents, who as the World Health Organization doctors, were pioneers of Polio eradication in the Middle East. She had the opportunity to experience various cultures and languages since childhood while her parents traveled globally to fulfill their Global Health commitments. Inspired by her early life experiences, Dr. Vazirian grew up to be a compassionate individual and found her passion early-on in medicine. She was involved in path-breaking research that received awards and media coverage by American Academy of Neurology. Her research culminated in publications and a book chapter authored by her. Her diverse experiences since her childhood until now, including her Global Health work with the United Nations, impart her the empathy needed to be a compassionate neurologist.
