About Becki B. Rawson
Becki Rawson thrives on interpersonal interaction and believes in empowering patients and giving them the tools they need to improve their health. As a nurse practitioner, she enjoys helping her patients de-mystify the often confusing and overwhelming aspects of health care. Working in orthopedics allows her to combine her interests of trauma and emergency medicine, and primary care and prevention.
In her practice, she focuses on prevention, and helping patients identify and reduce risks in order to improve their health. "I believe in approaching the patient from a holistic point of view, rather than limiting my attention to a diagnosis," she says. "While a concern may be focused on a particular joint or other part of the body, my philosophy includes addressing the multifaceted aspects of a patient's health."
Becki graduated from the University of California Berkeley with an undergraduate degree in psychology, and earned a master's degree in nursing from Washington State University in Vancouver, Wash. She is board certified and has special certifications in trauma and emergency nursing.
Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, Becki has been an Oregon resident for more than 20 years. She enjoys working on medical disaster relief teams in developing countries. She plays the harp and loves to ski and sail. She is also fluent in Spanish. Becki is married and has four lovely children.
